Beach fun in the rain

As they walked the beach, the cool summer afternoon gave no hint as to what they were in for. The sun was bright with the occasional cloud, but it was a bit windy adding to the unusual chill in the air for an afternoon in July. They continued along the edge of the shore listening to the waves crash and rush up the beach, not noticing the sky beginning to darken. Soon, she thought she felt a rain drop, but thought it might just be the splashing of the waves as she got closer to the edge of the water. But it didn't take long to realized it wasn't splashing, it was raining! The skies opened up, and she giggled as the rain quickly began to soak her hair and jacket. The perfect excuse she thought as she began to wade into the waves. Why not play in the waves and rain if I'm already going to be wet! A rainbow appeared on the horizon and it didn't take long for the waves to finish what the rain had already started. She was smiling and completely drenched.
