Leo and Iiren

"Leo," Iiren began. "Our mother needs to be avenged. That is my mission."

"Our--" Leo's eyes widened.

"Yes. You're my brother. And you may not tell anyone I was here."

"Where were you?!" the alchemist exclaimed. "All this time I've wanted to have my sister here and everyone thought you died!"

Iiren cocked her head. "If I told anyone of my mission I wouldn't have been able to leave." She said matter of factly.

To Leo it seemed she did not even seem to understand that leaving so suddenly was concerning. For a moment he wondered...did she even care about him? He glanced at her golden eyes burning with an inner fire and understood. She was focused. She would complete her mission, no matter what it took.

"True." Leo sighed. He looked at his new weapon at his side. "But don't forget, she was my mother too."

Iiren slightly smiled, but it was tinged with sorrow. "Don't worry, I'll be back."
