Teenage Dax’ilvin faces the demon-orc that killed his mother. 2.0

Young Dax’ilvin had been adamant on joining the fight to protect his home against the invading demon-orcs, but he regretted his decision soon after joining the battle. Dax had managed to just barely take down some of the smaller enemies, but it wasn’t long before he caught the attention of the largest of the demon-orcs. The giant demon-orc, seeing young Dax’ilvin as easy prey, quickly charged the teenage elf, and with one swing of its mighty club, the beast knocked Dax to the ground, leaving him helpless and bleeding. Vaeralin, Dax’ilvin’s Mother, saw her son (who wasn’t even supposed to be in the fight) get taken down by the lead demon-orc, and her motherly instincts took over. Vaeralin ran with near-unnatural speed, and threw herself between the beast and her son, holding her sword above her, aiming for the demon-orc’s heart.

And that is how Dax’ilvin’s mother sacrificed herself to save him. The moment haunts him to this day.
