Now that's something I'd REALLY love to have! Hopefully, the vetiver fragrance comes from khus grass. Many years back, I was able to buy small vials of extracted khus-khus fragrance oil. One drop was sufficient to fill a room with its warm sweet scent. I wish I could still get it. The khus fragrance oil and orange blossom fragrance oil were the two mostly heavenly scents!
I read that in some homes in India, an open "curtain" of khus roots would be woven, then made wet and hung in a doorway or window where a breeze might be blowing into the house. The water evaporation would cool the room while imparting the khus fragrance. Do you know if this is true?
