This is one of almost 100 Finni stories that I am publishing for NC. You can find the story in the comments. The project has been growing for a year and recounts moments from my life between 1979 and today – sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes exciting, sometimes reflective and philosophical, but always authentic and emotional. Marvelous portrait and setting! Fun narrator of this story, really funny! For some time I used to have this awful alarmclock in the shape of a dinosaur making the most awful noises that ever existed, haha. Funny that I delayed reading this story inadvertently til it's Friday - method reading!
1993: Fridays at Finni's. Part 1.
6:30 a.m. A 13-year-old boy has a lot of things he loves. For example, the 386 over there. 21 megahertz clock speed, 20 megabyte hard drive. Finni really appreciates it, he practically worships it. Sometimes I get the feeling he loves it more than me. And yet this computer can't do what I can.
Then there are those boxes on the shelf. LucasArts adventures. Finni has played them all, several times, and every time he's lost track of time.
And then there are the photos on the wall. Steve, Danny, and Luke. For some time now, Finni has been calling them his “best friends forever.” [You can read the story here:]
