I don't know your age, so this might be beyond your reckoning, but there was a series of games developed by Konami (still are to the best of my knowledge) Called Ace Combat. I believe it was Ace Combat 4 where they did a lot of graphics work, no real animations of any kind, just showing the world involved, and this images looks an awful lot like that. Take that as a huge compliment!
