How I work: I try DS v8 / SD 1.5 and vary the prompt until I find something I like to start with. Then I keep that prompt, and make adjustments to the seed by changing the number at the same position until I've gone through all 10 possibilities, take the result and start over at the next position. (I work from right to left)

I continue this until I have found something that I really like as a starting idea. Then I keep the prompt and the seed, change the model and create my final product with minimal credit input.

This saves me a lot of credits, but is a lot of fun.
