Gorgeous! The asymmetrical composition with focus on the bird then a circular guidance of the eye around the image and returning to the bird works very well here to maintain both a sense of movement and peace, despite the darker symbology of the piece. Pairing cherry blossom with black is an aesthetically bold, visually beautiful, and emotionally resonant choice, but it's both powerful and sad. It speaks of transience on the height of its power, like that plump watchful bird, but also at the cusp of loss, like the cherry blossoms that are about to shed their petals. That's my take on this piece anyway. Very well done!
