Mindglint

Mindglints are drawn to curiosity. They follow researchers, students, or any creature actively attempting to learn something, hovering silently at their shoulder like a patient observer. While largely harmless, their presence triggers brief flashes of understanding: the location of a misplaced object, a word stuck on the tip of the tongue, or an intuitive grasp of a simple puzzle. However, prolonged exposure causes dizziness and mild headaches, as though too much information is bleeding through. Mindglints feed on the mental “heat” produced by learning—an invisible byproduct of conceptual struggle—and drift away if starved of it.
