The tale of Faucibus is an old and scarring one. Legend has it he has always tried his best to keep puny humans off of his underwater land, but they never listen. And only one has ever lived to tell the story of how scary Faucibus is. Thirty feet long and ten feet around the shark stood, able to swallow five grown people whole, no chewing needed. Its mouth could supposedly open twelve feet wide, and as it did, Fortis Superstes was consumed. But the catch is, Fortis was a brave warrior, and he was smart. He was consumed whole, with no injuries. Fortis had brought his knife with him, but knew the beast would survive a cut to the belly. Fortis was actually happy. He had trained his entire life, and when he would go hunting, he would bring back ten-foot tall bears, to supply his family of five for a month. He came to the ocean to defeat Faucibus, and that is what he did. Instead of cutting the beast's belly, he found its gills and cut all the way around, beheading the mighty Faucibus.
