C'est un drame psychologique. Violence d'un père envers son fils ( maltraitance et abus...)ultime punition: enfermer le jeune Douglas avec les chiens,  qui deviendront de véritables alliés. Et  c'est l'un d'eux qui le sauvera, lorsque dans un accès de colère, le père  lui tire une balle de fusil et le laisse pour mort.
Douglas paralysé et traumatisé ( on peut comprendre) se marginalise et sombre dans une espèce de folie meurtrière. 
Je ne vais pas tout vous dévoiler, cher Fire, car il serait possible que vous désiriez le visionner.  Une fin magistrale, signée Luc Besson 😀 ( très honnêtement,  ma création,  ne reflète aucunement la puissance et la beauté de ce drame, c'est paradoxal n'est-ce pas? Drame/ beauté) encore un film puissant . On ne peut en sortir indemne...voilà mon ami, j'espère que ce petit résumé vous aura donné satisfaction 😉
