“You’ve had it since the moment I popped you out.” Said her mother as looked at the name with her brows furrowed and stress lines far more visible than usual. “Usually when that happens, the baby’s soulmate is older and, in most cases, they are either teenagers or young adults.”

“Oh.” Is what she had said at the time. “I wish I can meet him. He must be very lonely by now.”

Once she realized that the name on her arm is the name of her soulmate, she turned to the internet to find everything she could about him. Apparently, typing in the name Robert Bruce Banner into Internet Explorer tended to bring up a LOT of science articles about gamma radiation, biochemistry, and nuclear physics.

When it came to science, she preferred genetics, ecology, and geology. However, in an attempt to better understand her soulmate and his scientific career, she read the articles she found. To say that her soulmate’s work impressed and confused her had been an understatement.
