Sabine: "Sounds like you broke through a barrier. And, yeah, passion is important, however you do it. Rhonda and I wear our fire on our sleeve. Mich, for all her 'silent assassin' exterior, drives with searing intensity. Heck, even Dad, 'Smilin' Jack,' talks about the fire inside. Now you found yours, and I'm gonna help you hold on to it."
Marina: "Here's the weird thing: part of me wants to be emotional right now, but more of me is saying, no, this is what's supposed to happen. This is my new normal." [laughs]
Sabine: "So proud of you, sis!" [big hug]

Great story line. Took up 5k parkruns last summer and recall the day when I beat my PB by nearly a minute. Didn't see it coming, hadn't trained any differently, felt good on the day but the time was a real surprise. Sometimes you just break through a barrier, like Marina. 😊
