I have tried various approaches and everything that works seems to follow the principle of laboriously spelling everything out for Flux (to prevent it from defaulting to its standard look).
It can be really hard to break Flux out of its normal cartoon style, so I added a step zero:
- heavily describe your cartoon style
- define the painting approach (cartoon in this case)
- describe the lighting
- describe the color palette
- describe the composition
- describe the brushwork/ textures
- add your subject
