Death by Franz Nölken

Nölken's paintings are characterized by their use of bold colours, simplified forms, and expressive brushwork. He often used vibrant colours and thick brushstrokes to create a sense of movement and energy in his work. Nölken was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1884. He studied art in Hamburg and Paris, and he was influenced by the work of artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, and Henri Matisse. Nölken died in 1918 at the age of 34. He was killed in action during World War I.
