The others turned, but Tanagra was already moving, a blur of lethal efficiency. Each shot was precise, each movement fluid. The echoes of gunfire mingled with the steady rhythm of the rain, creating a symphony of battle.
In the chaos, she spotted the makeshift cell where Tiberius was held. With one final burst of gunfire, she eliminated the last of the guards and rushed to his side. The door shattered under her strength, and there he was, her constant companion and soulmate, still and serene amidst the turmoil.
Tears welled up in Tanagra's eyes as she reached for him. "Tiberius," she breathed, her voice breaking with emotion. She pulled him into a tight embrace, feeling the solid reassurance of his form against hers. "I missed you so much," she whispered, her lips brushing his ear.
