FYI, this is actually a draft for the cover of my latest song.
Lyrics are based on the oldest known recording of the song "The House of the Rising Sun", then published under the title "Rising Sun Blues", by Appalachian artists Clarence "Tom" Ashley and Gwen Foster.
Their version was recorded on September 6, 1933. With my version, I'm going for a classic blues sound that would be a better fit for that era than the more "modern" sounding version of The Animals, which is the one that became world famous.
