They were also tougher back then. I wondered about the people on the far right in the first image but when I checked the others , each one showed some people bandaged with obvious loss of blood. Nowadays, the place would get shut down immediately, the place would be full of ambulances and police and then what? No more fun days. Instead, the injured folk are having great fun and the uninjured can barely wait their turn! Yep, much sterner stuff back then.
this is actually how it would happen nowadays, this guy eventually getting mauled and everyone standing around recording it on their phone
