Once upon a time... about forty years ago... I was in the Navy and one of the women on our ship got a tattoo on her ankle while we were on liberty in Ft. Lauderdale. It was scandalous, very few women had tattoos at this time, other than biker-chicks and barflies. The office where Dondi worked had a long line of guys waiting for her to come out and roll up her pants leg and roll down her sock to show off the work of art!
