From watching videos on kookaburras on YouTube, I was surprised at how tame the wild ones could become. When I was a kid, I watched old Tarzan reruns with Johnny Weissmuller and I'd hear the wild sounds that were added - like kookaburra calls! 😂 I wanted to live in a treehouse and to be honest, I still do. We owned 5 acres when I was a kid and I'd go into the partialled forested part and try my best to do Tarzan called. I never succeeded even close but I have become quite good at imitating lots of animal sounds, good enough to fool some animals too! But being a woman, I could never do calls that are in the lower register. I kinda wish I was a kid again...
This should been among the top rankings ...
