Blue Angel Boy

The original image is the kitchen of the long-abandoned and crumbling Hardie-Coleman house where, in the 1980s, Allan Lucy, only 13, was killed by his adopted father. The creation rendered for me looks nothing like the true story, so I've made up one of my own: Micah was only 9 when he fell terribly ill. Despite many visits to different doctors and hospitals, no diagnosis or cure could be found, and the boy passed away in his home, in his mother's arms. Overwhelmed by their grief, Micah's parents fled their home, which stirred Micah's ghost. He now spends his days feeling alone and abandoned, like his home. And he knows he will eternally be alone, as no one will ever move into his home, which is so far gone it would need to be dismantled before it could be repaired. And when Micah's home does crumble to the ground, so will he, too.
