Transformation

A warlock blinded by the light Gave up his sight to keep his mind

In the confusion dark and grave Instinctively, hid in a cave

He made attempts to climb the wall, Prepared possibly to fall.

First, time he fell, again he tried, But kept his hope to gain the sight.

His world was growing old and gray, But he kept going day by day.

With injured spirit, broken bones, He was too tired and alone.

He wiped his tears with dirty cape, Accepting fate he can't escape.

Awaiting now one thing to die - Miraculously, learned how to fly.

And through the irony of flight, His ears used to see at night.

Umbrella wings - the cape and bones, The cave of healing rocks he hones.

He sleeps in comfort of his wings, In upside-down dream of things.

And this upside-down dream, He sees the others just like him.

The transformation that he got, Into a bat, was long and hard.

Reward of it insanely mad, Just like perception of a bat.
