"THIS is a shuttle?" Amara asked, dubiously studying the inside of a multi-decked, squat vessel whose exterior bore no testament to its interior opulence.

"Well yeah, I've made sub-commander's pay for a decade," Grathik said proudly. "It's a Gulbarin."

"Comfortable vessel to explore in," Amara assented, and wondered if she could afford her own. Idle thought. "And I suppose we can be in and out fast enough."

Nahreev also studied and appreciated the craftsmanship, then looked puzzled. "Where's the cargo space? Don't you want to bring something back if we find it?"

"It can tow, within reason. But the fun decks all fold up and stow, cargo access front and rear." Grathik smiled a sly mowril grin. "Like I said, it's a Gulbarin."

The tharp helmfolk from the Fetchwind waved from the flight deck. "Flies nice, too."

"It does," Grathik growled. "Go, Lizard!"
