Wow, this amazing stuff like this (when type in a famous movie character) so doesn't really get everything right usually but this? This is perfect in every way.
I think this is a deeper line than most people realize. (Not to make a pun.) Typically, you would find this line in a song about someone who’s alone. Ariel lives with sentient beings. And she doesn’t say “where the humans are,” which is what she really means—or so we think. Is she saying that her people are not people? Is she saying that mermaids are somehow unevolved? What is this racism, aimed at her own race, that Ariel is singing?
