The Color Green

Beyond the ruined city of Ptolemn stretching west and north is the Andrevos wilderness, a landscape of forests, gullys, scraggly plains strewn with large rocks, littered from the explosion of an ancient extinct volcano.

Listratha Bailiwick made a reckless dash into the wilderness, fleeing the witch Mengara Atopoi, whom pursued her.

Lis kept up a fast paced march and used all the craft she had learned to confuse her path and the trail she was leaving, but the witch was using her auguries to discover which way Lis was traveling, however, these tactics created a steadily growing distance between them, Lis had traveled through wilderness and Mengara had scarcely left Ptolemn.

Lis traveled without sleep for a full day before she heard deep basso singing. Curious, she came across The Green Man, an ancient sentient avatar of the forest. His eyes were kind and gentle and he slowly extended his hand, opening his fingers in welcome.
