_Oh no, no, no, no, no, what are you doing, you stupid..._ The moment Clara left the TARDIS closed its doors and that dreadful humming filled the air. Ashildr gripped the console, frantically pressing buttons and pulling levers, but to no avail. The TARDIS had a mind of its own. 

After a few moments, the engines fell silent, an eerie dim light filling the room. Blueish smoke escaped the engine compartments. Clara once told Ashildr the TARDIS had a living, beating heart, a fact she found hard to believe at first and all the more so right now when everything lay in foreboding silence. 

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, _you're gonna be okay, Ashildr, just breathe._ She was still shaken from their last adventure, having been teleported between different times and places, encountered alternative versions of herself and a double Clara and that dreadful, dreadful Master. _No use in sitting here, might as well follow Clara._
