Lady Beatrice encounters a boisterous gentleman
Lady Beatrice: "Good heavens, Mr. Thistleton! Might I beseech you to put away that fearsome implement? It appears more suited for a duel than for tending roses!
Mr. Thistleton: "Fear not, Lady Beatrice, this is but a humble gardening knife! These weeds are the villains of my garden, and I shall vanquish them!" [he swings the knife dramatically]
Lady Beatrice: [taking a step back] "I daresay, I prefer my skirmishes to be of the genteel sort, perhaps over a game of whist, rather than amidst the brambles! Pray, do put that fearsome thing away before I faint from the fright!"
Mr Thistleton: "Very well, I shall comply! [he dramatically sheaths the knife] But only if you promise to join me in the garden for tea, sans the threat of botanical bloodshed!"
Lady Beatrice: [smiling shyly] "Certainly, Mr. Thistleton. Now, let us hope the only thing that pricks us today are the roses themselves!"
This image shows a whimsical garden inspired by Edward Scissorhands. The image evokes a classical painting style, using asymmetrical compositions and superb quality.
