Glitches in Paradise

Fantastic! And I'm with it! I just bought a pack of extra long reusable dishwasher safe straws. I cut them to two sizes for twice the number of straws. I put them on the tines in my dishwasher and they get nice and clean. I keep them in a cup in my cupboard and it works great. Environmentally friendly and I get to use real straws!

That's definitely one way to do it! Personally, I've taken to bringing back any empty cans or bottles from what I buy, which also gives me back the 10c deposit. I find that there are two drinks that have gotten significantly less enjoyable with paper straw mandates: slush and boba. At the very least, I believe an exception should be made for those two, as the mandate is currently hurting them, as well as potentially forcing them to raise prices to account for the customers that no longer visit due to their hatred of paper straws. Overall, I don't believe plastic straws have a significant environmental impact anyway, and that they are being used by political elites as an environmental scapegoat. But I could still see reusable straws as a decent alternative for the time being.
