This one came out so well! I experimented a little bit with the log type to manipulate the over all colour of  the room.

I should also point out that Kunte Kinte is a fictional character and not a historical one…

Yup I know... My take on Kunta Kinte is also a fantasy one, permiting myself a lot of artistic liberty... I used masking on the image of Levar Burton without dreadlocks to create the dreadlocks and the torn clothes of my version of Kunta Kinte, to keep his face identical. So yeah, a fictional character, but the slavery was real alright, and although the implementation of slavery has changed, it's still being practised everywhere, it's just part of the Human Condition... We're all Salary Slaves now, with the "luxury" to choose our Slave Masters or to become one ourselves...
