100% !!! I found this on accident too but if people did free their prompts and if they are not selling there art then why not. It will advance this much faster but people create something they will only look at once or twice and maybe share in a chat and then move on to the next creation. leave the prompt open and people can learn from you and the AI will learn fast in result.
I've started out as an avid #open-prompt-gang member and am very grateful to all the other open-promters, BUT I agree there comes a time after a lot of hard work and cost when you stumble on a combo that's very schweet, gives consistent results and well, conflict!! Do I keep it to myself or share??
Totally agree about the decency. It is contemptible how people wish to limit access to the world of 8 billion people for a near unmeasurably small advantage to themselves. They benefit more from the commons than they could ever in their lifetime contribute, yet wish to impoverish and poison the commons for others. As I say, contemptible.
Found this by accident, but let's see. Just as a reflection: I think you are generalizing (besides over reacting lol ) over here, not everyone hides prompts not to share knowledge, but for other reasons. There are many factors that makes an artist unique. The technique used in his/her art is one of them. The artist invest lot of time/work/money improving the technique to become unique. If everybody knows how to do the same style, art, then the artist work or his/her artwork loses their value & probably will be forgotten. Besides, what kind of society would we be creating if we just give things like that?. What would happen is that people will get use to receive things without effort, self merit. People would not fight or study hard to achieve something. Then the evolving option: Could you imagine somebody taking the Mona Lisa & painting details on top of it trying to improve it since it's creation for hundreds of years & without even permission!? What would have happened? Cheers 🤙
I am new here to NightCafe and I learn from asking questions and those who do not hide prompts. <3 ty for this
I just feel like my prompts might be stolen or some stuff so if anyone knows how to hide them please reply!
Found this via google, trying to find out why people hide prompts. :D Left a like just for the title.

What's the value of your art if anybody can duplicate it. What's the point of copyrights. What the need for intellectual property? You just don't get how things work and are reacting out of selfish self interest to gain access to everyone else's work and knowledge for free
