She hadn't planned on being out on the beach today. It was dreary, rainy and not very warm and the beach wasn't even a thought when she got ready for their trip that morning. But the detour had taken them off route and they ended up at the beach for lunch. And now she was completely soaked. She couldn't resist going out on the beach in the rain and playing in the waves. She didn't have a change of clothes, but didn't care. She could have stripped to just her tank top and underwear, but what fun was that? She was much happier playing in the surf still wearing her sweater, jeans and boots. She would probably be wet the rest of the trip but she was okay with that. Missing out on an opportunity to be out on the beach in the surf was simply not an option. The unplanned detour and her spontaneous swim had made a dreary afternoon a whole lot brighter!
