Is that a piano? Does it even have keys? Or is it an antique steam powered air conditioner?
Making music is like taking a bit of soul and bottling it up... And listening to music is taking a bit of the creator's soul and adding it to yours. It's amazing how an assortment of 12 pitches at different volumes, lengths, and frequencies can enchant people just like a piece of art... or a beautifully written novel - All of them, really, are just different ways of creating a masterpiece out of tiny individual pieces - letters, pixels, notes - through different mediums. The human mind is a remarkable thing. It can create and understand immensely complex systems of these pieces, all of them composed of subsystems like brushstrokes, words, and chords. And there are often many complex arrangements and organizations of these subsystems, all nested under each other and the entire piece. There are words in sentences, sentences in paragraphs, and paragraphs in chapters; there are notes in measures, measures, in sections, and sections in movements;
