Now this is the kind of place where even the mosquitoes wear flannel and gossip by the firewood pile. A lone canoe drifts like it’s got nowhere urgent to be—just like the vintage van that looks like it gave up on the highway and decided to be a porch ornament. The log cabin puffs its chimney like a sleepy giant sipping tea, and the trees? Well, they’re doing their best impression of cathedral columns. The brushstrokes ripple like whispered secrets over water, and I’m nearly certain that blanket on the dock has dreams of becoming a cloud.
