The keeper of the Wingret

Wingrets are a hybrid creature, evolved from eager dna fused with that of a ferret. They are known for their cleverness and relentless energy. They make their nests in hollow trees, cliffside crevices, or even abandoned attics, weaving together twigs, shiny trinkets, and stolen socks. They’re especially fond of shiny objects, and have been caught mid-flight with earrings, buttons, or bits of glass in their tiny clawed paws.

Despite their skittishness, Wingrets can form strong bonds with those who earn their trust. In magical communities, they’re sometimes trained as messengers or familiars, though their playful nature means letters might arrive with a few corners nibbled off.
