I wish I was there. We have a large lake in our area about 45 minutes from our house, but somehow it never appealed to me. It is not easily accessible from all around which is weird. Maybe I need to go there again. Have not been in years. 

i have never made it to southeast asia.  When the kid gets there at the end of the year, I think i should visit him.

Where exactly will he go there where you want to visit. My hubby lived and worked in Thailand for a year. A great apartment in Bangkok and a weekly suite in one of the hotels in Chiang Mai, up north for his weekly checkup on his site. It was an incredible experience. I bought quite a bit of neat decor that adorns our home among all the middle eastern stuff I have.
