I see with your beautiful eyes a sweet light

that I cannot see with my blind ones;

I carry on your feet a burden

that is not customary for my lame ones.

I fly with your featherless wings;

with your intellect I am always moved to heaven;

by your will I am pale and red,

cold in the sun, warm in the coldest mists.

In your will is only my desire,

my thoughts are made in your heart,

My words are in your breath.

I seem to be like the moon alone,

for our eyes can see only

as much of the sky as the sun lights them.
