Paprika, One Step at a Time

With the winter storm subsided, Paprika moved carefully along the icy path. With each step she tests the ice on the ground. The storm had passed, but the danger lingered, hidden in the slick rocks & patches of ice. She pulled her cloak tighter, her breath visible in the chill air as she focused on every movement.
Repeated in her mind were her mother’s words : Every step counts. It was a lesson she’d carried all her life, one that inspired her forward with both patience & care.
The world around her grew still as she walked, like it was holding its breath. The icy canyon towering over her. Paprika couldn't know what lay ahead. Her resolve fueled her steps.
The journey was far from over, & she would face whatever came her way. She'd take one careful step at a time.
