An alternative continuation, inspired by a story and image @MoniB...

When the waiter told her the reason for the drip from the ceiling was the indoor pool for the hotel on the floor above, she had to investigate. Her friend wasn't sure but came along to keep her out of trouble. The pool was old, but well kept. As she walked around looking at the pool, her friend suddwnly asked if she had thrown something in the pool. She said she hadn't, but her friend was sure she heard something splash into the pool. She looked over the edge and could see something gold on the bottom. Her friend then asked about her necklace. She looked down and it was gone! She looked in the pool again and realized it had fallen off. Without hesitating, she jumped in the pool to retrieve it. It took 3 tries diving under but she was able to get it and climb back out of the pool. She smiled as she stood at the edge and looked at her friend. Everything was wet and she loved it.
