The merchant ship "The Pale Lady" was lost on the 12th of September over 100 years ago. The only survivor, a young cabin boy was found nearly dead and half mad floating on a nearly shattered cabin door, clutching a stone chest. When the sailors lifted him from the lifeboat, one man made the mistake of trying to pry the chest from the youth's grip. With a strength that should have been impossible for one his size, the emaciated boy lept on the sailor and nearly killed him. The other sailors were just barely able to knock the boy unconscious before he finished bashing the offending sailor's brains out with the stone chest itself. The first mate picked up the now dripping chest and wiped away the blood. He looked up to see the cabin boy staring up at him, his eyes wild. The tenor of his weak voice suddenly desperate and terrified in its young fervor made the blood of those that heard run cold. "Don't open it. Damnation is among us..." every eye shifted to the adolescent youth as the last words fell like lead on their ears. "For mercy's sake, don't open the box."
