Generating surrealist creations using text to image algorithms requires imaginative, unusual pairing of prompt words. But there are many paths to creating unique images. There are several features on NightCafe which can "jumpstart" the creation. One of those is ControlNet.
ControlNet is a method to provide a start image and give NightCafe additional guidance on how to apply that start image. No longer will it just be the start - its shapes, outlines and depth will be studied and applied to the end result.
This method utilizes that, but in a novel way - applying just a bit of it through specific settings.
First, generate an interesting image using one of the free models, like Dreamshaper v8. For this example, I generated a swirly pattern >>
Then, I evolved one of those images using the Fluently XL Lightning model and control net. The specific settings are open in this creation.
