In a crumbling monastery perched atop the cliffs of Calabria, the disgraced Cardinal Vescovi (played with feverish intensity by Massimo Lolli) attempts to summon divine truth through an ancient rite known only as “The Mass of a Thousand Tongues.” But when the ritual succeeds, something far older and hungrier than God answers...

Possessed choirs scream backwards, statues bleed from their mouths, and the Holy Eucharist mutates into a writhing creature of flesh and language. As the faithful collapse into gibbering madness, only Sister Clara (giallo starlet Lucia Fenucci, “The Nun Who Screamed”) can stop the Mass before the final benediction opens the Gates of the Unspeakable.
