Created for a Daily Challenge. I took a suggested prompt, and then made some modifications as I went along. My presumption is that some poor fool found an ancient manuscript which had been gathering dust for centuries, and he opened it, and perhaps read aloud some key words . . . and this released the paper demoness who had been trapped in there and should have been left right where she was.
