In 1996 a very weak bear was left out in the cold. Fast forward to 2013 and Katy Perry sang, "You're gonna hear me roar!" Not a lion but a rejuvenated bear, now with an axe to grind and wield. She sings as though from Mr Putin's own mouth, "You held me down, but I got up Already brushing off the dust You hear my voice, you hear that sound Like thunder, gonna shake the ground You held me down, but I got up Get ready 'cause I've had enough I see it all, I see it now" Also in 2013, on Feb. 15 at 9:20 a.m. local residents of the city of Chelyabinsk, Russia, witnessed something few humans ever have: an asteroid exploding in the atmosphere. The event was well-documented, almost by accident. However, the war in Ukraine is no accident and should not be a surprise. The wounded bear grew up and like thunder, is shaking the ground still. "For how much longer", we ask. And, "Could there be a chance for peace?" Perhaps it could begin with an apology from those who withheld love from that sad bear.
