Reproduction: Amoebas reproduce by splitting in two, or fission. The nucleus divides first, followed by the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm also divides equally into two parts and each part receives a nucleus. This results in the formation of two daughter Amoebae which grow and eventually split to form mature Amoeba.
