I haven't read the book in decades, and the prices for the out-of-print books are rather steep (so I will try and get our local library to order a new copy.) And, a follow-up, I just learned it is already scripted for a new Denis Villeneuve movie production! Et Magis -- Larry Niven's Ringworld did not appear until 1970, and Gerry O'Neill's Space Colony (based on the Rama StarShip) and the Space Studies Institute did not appear until 1977. [The L5 Society was founded in 1975, thus this is L5's Golden Anniversary!]

My new Desktop portrait, this Year, and Our Collaboration, mark a very special occasion in Humanity's Solar Consciousness. The 70th Anniversary of the publication of "Rendezvous with Rama" by Arthur C. Clarke, coincides with my 70th birthday. [I had not realized that "Rama" was published way back in 1955. As I did not read it until 15 years later.] The "Rama" was perhaps the earliest and most evocative of the multigenerational StarShip designs, being essentially identical to the One Gravity Spin Hollow Cylinder designs we are crafting! Rama was designed to be 20km diameter by 50km in length, contrast our's which are focused on 30km diameter by about 150-200 km length!
