They say Old Marlow the turtle wasn’t just any seafarer—his shell held the ever-shifting map of the sea itself. Coral cities, squid opera houses, even the sneezing volcano of Blubbulus Reef—all etched in glowing lines that only flickered when you sang in key with the current. Most fish followed him not for wisdom, but because he leaked a fine trail of kelp crumbs.

One daring guppy once asked, “Marlow, what’s your destination?” To which he blinked slowly and replied, “I’m not swimming to somewhere—I’m swimming so it keeps existing.”
