The popular Mistral was Murk's affordable, mid-luxury offering to the deep-space family touring market, incorporating what many hailed as the peak evolution of the Dama II drive, smaller than the motor of a conventional ground vehicle. The drive's design carried the same name as the craft it was initially designed for. The Mistral Drive sold further and wider than the Mistral itself, incorporated into light vessels under license and adaptable for a vast variety of applications, from single-person mining craft to anti-ship missiles.

The Mistral spacecraft enjoyed a popular following and was produced through two conflicts without missing a step, making it one of the more recognizable vessels of the early Portan space era.
