Daniel, now in his early thirties, was a natural leader—tall and strong, with the same piercing eyes as his father, Jake Harper, though his gaze carried a weight that belied his years. He had grown up in this world, a world that had long since turned its back on faith, on morality, on anything that stood in the way of pleasure and power. But for Daniel, there was something deeper, something that had been passed down to him from a generation that still remembered the truth.

He had found his calling among the remnants of the old world. Among the Bibles, the old books, the whispers of the Great Awakening that had swept through the world before the Rapture. Many of the people gathered before him had been born into this chaotic, hedonistic society, but somehow, through divine providence or sheer desperation, they had found the truth hidden in the ruins of a broken world.

They had converted, turned away from the empty promises of the New Age, and found hope in the ancient words of Scripture. And Daniel was their guide, their shepherd in this time of darkness.

“We live in a world that mocks us,” Daniel said, his voice quiet but steady. “A world that hates the truth. A world that calls us foolish, that calls us dangerous because we refuse to accept the lies they feed us. But we know the truth. We know who we serve.”

His eyes swept across the small crowd, all of them seated on old crates and broken-down chairs. There were no more than twenty people in the room, but their hearts were full of conviction, their faces set with determination.

For many of them, the Bible had been a relic of the past, something they had stumbled upon in the forgotten corners of this megacity. A book of myths, they had once thought, discarded like so many other relics from before the Rapture. But as the world descended deeper into immorality and chaos, as the promises of the New Global Government led by the Unifier proved to be hollow, they began to seek answers. And the Bible, with its words of prophecy, of judgment, and of hope, had given them those answers.

“The world outside this room,” Daniel continued, “has accepted the lies of this Unifier. They believe him when he tells them that he can bring peace. They bow to him, not knowing the evil they serve. But we know better. We know that this world is not all there is.”

He reached down, placing his hand on the open Bible, his fingers tracing the worn edges of the pages. “We are the last light. We are the last to carry His Word in this dark time. And we will not be silent.”

_July 12th, 2060 — New Los Angeles, Underground Sector_

The air in the small, hidden chamber was thick and musty, the dim light from a single bulb flickering overhead. The room was cramped, filled with old crates and rusted machinery, remnants of an era long past. But this forgotten corner of the Lower City, deep beneath the neon-lit streets of New Los Angeles, was more than just a relic of history—it was a sanctuary.

In the center of the room, Daniel Harper stood before a small group of men and women, their faces illuminated by the faint glow of the old Bible resting on the crate before them. The pages were worn, yellowed with age, but the words were as clear as ever. God’s Word, hidden in the depths of a world that had forgotten Him.
