The folk of Hamelin were struck by the plague, Swarms of rats had infested the city. Granaries, storehouses, fields were laid waste, Mass starvation had taken great pity.
But then he appeared in the town on that day, Cloak and hat, with his shabby cart dray,
- People of Hamelin, I'll save you, he said,
- From your city the rats I'll lead and pipe away!
I'm the magical rat catcher, The powerful rodent charmer. Everyone will obey, When my flute begins to play!
None on earth can counteract Or resist my flute's sound! Easily I access minds, And control how one assigns.

I was fascinated of the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. On the one hand I understood his anger, but on the other hand it's over the line to take innocent pple like children vor revenge... Anyway, wonderful creation! 😍👀✨😍
A great story and illustration to accompany!! The rodent charmer should have led the rats back into town!
In all fairness to the rats, it was the flea, Xenopsylla cheopis, that carried the plague by travelling on the rats. I hope you were able to lead the fleas away as well.
