"This doesn't make sense, Professor," said Roger, confronting his approaching teacher.  "The reaction times don't match.  Something is interfering with the data from the alloy analysis chamber. Or maybe the titanium sample isn't pure enough..."

"But sir, I checked everything three times. And the heads have been cleaned again. There's something else..."

Based on young Roger's reaction time experiments, Professor Hertmoore went on to win the Nobel Prize for his work on titanium-silicon bonding, which led to bigger grants, more work and his early heart attack.

The undergrad never finished his bachelors. Instead he quit school, went on to form the band "Light Red Floyd", and lived a happy, long and creative life...
